Another fashion season, another look book! We are thrilled to share our Spring/Summer 2017 look book with you. If you haven't already done so, check it out here! As always the results are stunning but did you ever wonder what goes into a look book and how we pull it all together?
We typically plan our look books weeks, even months in advance! We start by thinking of the trends for the season, what they're reminiscent of and how we want to portray them. From there we start brainstorming backdrops and sourcing props. For our SS17 look book we Knots & Weaves was kind enough to let us go in and pull some props for our set. Their antiques were the perfect vibe for the retro feels of spring.
The day of the shoot we start early... as in we're at Posh by 7am! First up is hair, whom we partnered with Curl Salon. Makeup was done by our very own multi- talented Victoria. The lovely model, local blogger, stylist AND mom (she does it all!) Alison Maxim was our model. Posing came natural to her but always helps when you have a great photographer like Michele of Griffin Photography.
Throughout the day we shoot over 10 looks, pausing ever so slightly between each for subtle hair and makeup updates and only breaking for lunch (hey, even models have to eat!). The shoots typically wrap around 4pm and although it's a long day it's one of our favorites always!
We hope you enjoy checking out our look book as much as we enjoyed making it for you!
