If you've been in Posh recently you might have noticed a new face, Cindy! Cindy is originally from Pittsburgh, she has 3 kids (one of which is newly engaged!) and believes in classics modernized with just touches of trends. Today we wanted you to get to know her better with a few Q&As about her style and personal favorites...
Who's your favorite designer and why?
I love the minimalist style of brands Vince and Theory. Their use of monochromatic colors and designs are always classic but still modern. I also love Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang for the same reasons.
How would you describe your style?
My style is tailored, it's classic with a twist.
What's your go-to outfit?
I'm a strong believer in the "third piece", meaning the last piece you put on that pulls a look together. For me, that's a leather jacket. You should invest in these pieces over the years to complete your look.
How do you spend your days off?
I'm a gym rat, I love running and working out. I also enjoy spending my days off catching up with friends.
What's one item you hope to have in your closet someday?
A beautiful fitted Chanel jacket, you can wear it with a fitted skirt or casual with jeans and a tee.
What's your favorite part about working at Posh? (Fun fact: Cindy worked with Tina years ago when Tina was a manager at another boutique before she opened Posh)
I like the intimate style of shopping that Posh offers. Being back with Tina after so many years it's nice to see how she's evolved but still remains the same when working with clients... her friendly, honest and intimate approach.
Who's your style icon and why?
The way Olivia Palermo and Cameron Diaz put themselves together, remaining on trend but still classic at the same time and of course, with great shoes. My true style icon though is my mother. She had a unique sense of style in the 60s, 70s and 80s that was ahead of her time but still classic. She had a way of reinventing outfits to make them appear new. She is where my love of jewelry comes from and I've inherited many pieces from her that I wear daily. I'm wearing her tortoise bangles, elephant hair ring and mixed metal trio today actually.
What's one thing you think every woman should have in her closet?
A classic black blazer to pull your look together.
What's one of your fashion regrets?
Last season I purchased a trendy YSL black fringe bag. It's beautiful but I don't wear it enough. I also regret some of my hair choices in the 80s.
Are you a shoe, purse, jewelry or belt girl (like Tina)?
I'm a shoe girl, I believe they can change a whole outfit and there's no better feeling than putting on a new pair of shoes!
Thanks Cindy! Be sure to stop Posh and shop with Cindy for your fall look.
