Staff Favorites for a Fashionable Summer Getaway
Hey there, fashionistas! Happy Summer! It's that time of year where most of us pack up and head somewhere amazing--whether it's down the shore, somewhere exotic, or even just a little weekend getaway. One thing comes to our minds-- "What am I going to pack?" Well, we thought it might be helpful to show you what our favorite summer staples are when traveling this summer.
First up: VICTORIA
Where are you headed? Cape May, NJ
So, what are your favorite pieces to travel with?
That's easy, a T-shirt and jeans. Especially this fitted V-neck from Paige paired with my most favorite high rise flares, obviously. I believe that T-shirts and jeans are what define summer style. I try to pair mine with a cute pair of heels (LOVING these cognac ones from Joie) for a retro vibe, but i'll never turn down a comfy flip flop.
I think a white short is also a must-have for summer. They are a great go-to when you need to throw something on. I of course, love to pair mine with a comfortable tee from Sundry and flip flops from TKEES. TKEES offers such a variety of colors. I love the pewter ones because they are a good neutral and will go with most anything.
I am a lover of all things neutral. A black skinny jean should also be in everyone's wardrobe, year-round. I love mine paired with this edgy graphic tee from Paige. I also think that gold bracelets are the perfect accessory because they complete an outfit without over-accessorizing it.
And lastly, I plan on bringing my own version of a little black dress. This crochet and lace number is seriously one of my favorite pieces of the season. It can be worn with a sandal and a cute fedora, or dress it up with a pair of fringe heels for a night out. LOVE.
OK, next up : DANA
Where are you going this summer? Traveled to Arizona
What were your favorite pieces that you packed in your bag?
I packed a lot of pieces that could be interchangeable with each other. I like simple color palettes and clean lines so it was important to me to pack things that would be easy and simple, yet chic and stylish. One of my favorite pieces that I brought with me was this gorgeous linen dress. I paired it with a hat and my favorite joie heels. The outfit was soft, simple and perfect for my time in Arizona.
Another favorite ensemble of mine was my white and navy Three Dots linen skirt paired with a solid navy tank tucked in. Seriously, so chic. The clean lines of the outfit made me feel put together but not over done.
I wore my distressed jeans from DL1961 a lot on my trip. I loved it paired back to this plaid top from Joie. I tied the top to give it a summery vibe and then slipped on my navy braided Joie heels to complete the look. It was a great look for walking around and grabbing a bite to eat with my boyfriend.
Lastly, I brought my two favorite purchases this season: my vanilla jean from DL1961 and my crocheted tunic from Theory. These two are the perfect marriage. The tonal blend of neutrals is spot on for an effortless summer look. And what's more, they are awesome separates to wear now and going forward into the Fall season.

What were some of your staples on your trip?
One of my favorite dresses this summer has been this neutral crocheted sun dress. It's easy, and fashionably and who doesn't want that? I paired mine with these beautiful gladiator sandals from Ivanka Trump for a dressier look. Aside from living in a bathing suit all week, some of my staples included pieces that could be layered for those breezy beachy nights, simple sundresses and great sandals.
If you know me at all, you know I love a great layered look. It's hard to do with the heat of summer, but Joie makes it so much easier with this 2fer sweater/shirt combo. I paired mine with a pair of Paige shorts and navy TKEES for a beachy look.
I basically lived in these shorts, so naturally I brought a few more tee options. I also packed my Lilla P anorak jacket for those chilly nights...and incase of any rain.
One staple every woman should have in her wardrobe this summer is a denim dress. If you are looking for versatile, this is it. I adore this one from Ecru. It's my go-to when I want to throw something on, but also look styled. I, of course, switched out the belt for one with a bit more detail, threw on my favorite wedge and hit the town. It really doesn't get any more effortless than a denim dress, trust me.
Alright, you're up, Lyn! Where are you off to this summer? The Poconos
What are your must-haves while you're away?
The Poconos is a no-fuss getaway and that's how I like it. I like to pack pieces that are casual, but still look styled. I always pack denim. After all, I'm in the woods! One of my favorite looks this season has been the ever trendy graphic tee and this one from Joie is no exception. I love it paired with my distressed flares from Henry & Belle for a quick trip into town. These heels from Joie are the perfect ones if you're planning on doing some shopping and walking! The stacked heel and the heel strap add comfort and support, making them the perfect shopping shoe!
Next on my list of what to pack, a denim jacket...obviously. I don't like a lot of layers so for me, a denim jacket not only acts as jacket incase of cooler temperatures, but also makes me feel like my outfit is finished and put together. I also love maxi dresses. They are just easy. Plain and simple.
My total summer go-to is always a white jean. I think a lot of women are afraid of white jeans but it's about finding the perfect white jean. DL1961 never disappoints. Their white denim is dense (so it's not transparent) and has a ton of stretch to them...making it the perfect white jean for the season. I love to add a punch of color to mine so I'll be packing this yellow tee from Sundry to pair back to my white denim, along with my navy TKEES.
Packing can be overwhelming but don't forget, the staff at Posh are always available to help! Happy travels!
